Artist Statement: “My Flacos, my signature pieces, are made from diesel pump camshafts. I use found objects I find around my workshop or a local junkyard. I call my sculptures Flaco's for two reasons. First, Flaco Jiménez is a conjunto musician icon. The second reason is their thin camshaft bodies.”
