Irene Carranza
	My art is a visual testimony of myself, expressions and feelings conveyed on paper or canvas or wood. I believe my work to be strong in capturing essence, however elusive and inexplicable. The earlier works speak of feminine affirmation and empowerment, a celebration of womanhood, beauty, nature, solitude, death, and rebirth, while newer works could be described as ancestral memories, tapping into a silent knowledge beckoning for recognition.
