Francisco
I. Madero, imprisoned by the Mexican government, escapes and flees the city
of San Luis Potosí. On this same day he releases the Plan de San
Luis Potosí, which declares the elections null and void and calls
for “no reelections” to be the law of the land. The plan calls for
insurgency against Porfirio Díaz and the government in power and it sets
20 November 1910 as the date for a general uprising. |
