Theresa Rosado

Injustice has always played a central role in the themes of my work, whether pointing it out or celebrating in the midst of struggle. My work is featured in the collections of the Labor Council for Latin American Advancement and the Interfaith Council for Workers Justice. Unschooled in studio art and raised in a blue collar family, of Puerto Rican and Macedonian descent, I favor what some may say is an unusual sense of beauty and wonder. Fascinated with the paintings in Catholic churches of flaming hearts, saints with eyeballs on platters as well as "folk fancy," merging everyday people encountering not so every day things.
